Rug Of The Day - March 8th

The calendar on the wall in my office says that today is International Women's Day. To honor all the strong and determined women who have made our world a better place to live, I am presenting Lady Liberty, a Notforgotten Farm adaptation.   I hooked this rug on linen with a mixture of #6, #8 and #8.5 cuts.  This is another rug that I had fun hooking and was very pleased with the results, especially the faded  blue color of Lady Lib's skirt.  This is a two-toned wool from Rebecca Erb called Blueberry Plaid.   

I think any time you combine red, white, and blue in a rug, it is sure to be a winner!
